Mark Johnson

As a leading authority on business model innovation, Mark Johnson helps companies capitalize on new growth opportunities. Across industries – including automotive, healthcare, commercial enterprise IT, oil and gas, aerospace/defense and government labs industries – he guided numerous Fortune 500 companies to create distinct business models, strategies and skills to manage new market growth.

His work is the subject of his most recent book Seizing the White Space: Business Model Innovation for Growth and Renewal" (HBP, 2010) and a Harvard Business Review article (December 2008). He is also co-author of  “The Innovator’s Guide to Growth” (Harvard Business School Press); with Scott Anthony, Joe Sinfield and Elizabeth Altman (Harvard Business Press, 2008).

Alongside Harvard Professor Clayton Christensen Johnson co-founded Innosight, an innovation-based consulting and executive firm, where he also serves as chairman. Prior to that, he was a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton where he worked with clients on managing innovation and comprehensive change programs.

A much requested authority and speaker on innovation, transformation and business model change, Mark has been a featured speaker at several conferences in the defense, automotive, healthcare, financial services and venture capital industries.
